Softball & Baseball registration will resume in February, 2023.

We are planning a full schedule of games for the interested teams. Due to the very good news from the NYC Parks Department now beginning to issue field permits, this provides the opportunity to hold a Baseball and Softball League that can extend through spring. We submitted our required safety plan and documents to the Parks Department.

Baseball is a wood bat only league.

Our goal is to provide the opportunity for the young athletes to return to play safely in an outdoor setting as permitted by NY State Guidelines. Season information will be available as soon as it is released by CYO.

All families will be required to sign the CYO Release and Waiver of Liability Form (COVID-19) as per the Return to Play Safely Guidelines.

Players must reside within Sacred Heart Parish boundaries or attend Sacred Heart Catholic Academy or Sacred Heart Faith Formation to be eligible to compete in CYO competition for Sacred Heart. Waivers are eligible for players who reside in parishes that do not offer CYO Sports.

I. Physical Ability
I, the parent/guardian of the child registered to play a sport for Sacred Heart am providing notice that my child is physically able to participate in this activity and as such it is my responsibility to bring any health or physical conditions that affect my child to the attention of his or her coach. 

II. League Formation
I understand that the Sacred Heart Athletic Directors have the sole jurisdiction of placing and transferring players from team to team for the sake of establishing teams.

III. Conduct
I understand that it is my responsibility to act in a manner appropriate for a spectator of a Catholic Youth Organization event and that behavior unbecoming of a parent or fan representing Sacred Heart will be subject to suspension from attending future events.

IV. Gym Safety
I understand that it is everyone's responsibility to maintain a safe environment at the Sacred Heart Gym. During practice sessions, I will not prop the doors open and will use best judgement when permitting others to enter the building.

V. Communication
I agree to receive messages related to Sacred Heart Youth Program via text message, e-mail, and phone.

VI. COVID_19 Waiver
I agree to sign and return the CYO COVID_19 Waiver and understand that failure to do so will result in my child being excluded from participation in CYO and Sacred Heart Sport practices, games, and events.

Sacred Heart Youth Program will provide each player with a hat and shirt. Coaches will inform you of required pants or shorts. Please be diligent to size as returns cannot be made and single quantities cannot be ordered during the season. CYO will not permit players to play wearing any jersey or hat other than the Sacred Heart supplied uniform.
